 First Journal on Kurdish Issue in Iran release. There is very limited information on the Kurds in Iran available to the world outside. The Kurdish areas in Iran are banned from International press, researchers and human rights activists and organizations; furthermore, in Iran the activities of NGOs are highly monitored and controlled. The Iranian regime considers all NGOs, international organizations, missions and their staff in Iran to be foreign agents; thus the regime believes that they are spies and they act against the Islamic Republic's national security.

ERBIL: An Iranian prison has become overpopulated with Kurdish inmates, many of
whom were arrested for political reasons and have been sentenced to death,
December 22, 2009 is the first birthday anniversary of Kurdistan Peace and Development Society, a civil organization known as CAPK. One year ago a number of Kurdish civil activists from inside Kurdistan and Diaspora came together to established such an organization. Though from that beginning CAPK’s funders were aware of importance of the new born establishment, today, after a year CAPK’s the significant role that CAPK can play in the Kurdish society of Iranian Kurdistan is more obvious.
A teenage boy Behzad Gol Mohammadi who was only sixteen years old was tortured to death by the Iranian security forces. His body was left on the mountains near the town of Salmas on the Iran-Turkey border. 
Kurdish political prisoner Ms. Zaynab Jalalian aged 27, was condemned to death by Kermanshah Revolutionary Court. She was arrested in May 2008. Jalalian was tried in Islamic Revolutionary Court of Kermanshah without any legal representation and sentenced to death. The court accused Jalalian of being a member of a Kurdish political party which opposed the Islamic Republic of Iran.
